What are MiSight contact lenses?
MiSight 1 day contact lenses are the first and only soft contact lenses specifically designed for myopia control and the only soft contact lens FDA-approved to slow the progression of myopia in children when treatment is initiated as young as 8 years old. Are MiSight 1 day contact lenses safe?
Yes. As with any contact lens, there is an increased risk for several eye conditions including infections and corneal ulcers. To minimize risk, it is important to make sure your child is adhering to the wear and care instructions provided by the doctor.

From what age to what age should children wear MiSight 1 day contact lenses?
MiSight 1 day is indicated for initial fitting as young as 8 years of age. It is recommended to continue use until the eyes stop growing and the prescription stabilizes. This typically occurs in early adulthood.
My child is outside of the indicated age range. Can they still be prescribed MiSight 1 day?
MiSight 1 day is approved by the FDA to slow the progression of myopia in children when treatment in initiated at ages 8-12. Myopia control can still be of benefit even if started after 12-years-old. If you child is outside the indicated age range, this can be discussed with doctor at the time of their annual eye exam.
